In July 1588 the English and Spanish met at war. Victory was on our side.

The Spanish wer determined they would beat the English but Sir Francis Drake was confident that the English would be victorious he said that it would be horrendous if the Spanish won!

The English had only 120 ships while the Spanish had 140, but the English had 30 gallions and the Spaniards had only 20

Sir Francis Drake and Lord Howard had a spectacular idea they set some of their ships on fire and led them by the wind to the Spaniards and they had to flee northwards where the storms were heading. Many Spanishn ships were destroyed in the rough winds. We thrashed them they lost.
